We’re delighted you’ve chosen Composure Studio for your photoshoot or event. Our space has been designed to be flexible, inspiring, and easy to use. To help us maintain this standard for all guests, please read the terms below carefully. While a signature may be requested, confirmation of your booking constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

1. Respect for the Space

• Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited in the studio and within 5 metres of the entrance.

• Please treat all facilities, props, and furnishings with care.

• Pets are welcome only with prior written approval from Composure Studio.

• Pets are not permitted on the sofa, white cushions, or white chairs under any circumstances. The Hirer will be liable for any cleaning or damage costs if this rule is breached.

• The studio is a professional environment, and adult or explicit content is not permitted. For guidance on permitted content including, but not limited to, boudoir, lingerie, bikini shoots, or the use of live art models, please contact us in advance for independent confirmation and approval.

• For safety and security, the premises are monitored by 24/7 surveillance cameras. By entering, you consent to such monitoring. Recordings are stored securely and used only for safety, compliance, and incident investigation.

2. Studio Access

• Access is granted strictly for your confirmed booking period.

• Guests must not arrive more than 10 minutes early.

• Overtime is billed at $30 per 15 minutes, based on Eufy Smart Door Latch logs and CCTV records.

• Overtime charges will be invoiced and must be paid within 7 days of issue.

3. Furniture & Props

• Furniture and props may be moved but must be returned to their original positions before departure.

• Standing on furniture or using items in a way that risks damage is prohibited.

• Care must be taken when using body makeup, oils, or fake tan. Professional cleaning costs will be invoiced to the Hirer if staining occurs.

• External props and furniture may be brought in, provided setup and pack-down are included within the booking time.

• Any items borrowed or used from the store room or elsewhere in the studio must be returned to their original location before the end of the booking. Missing or damaged items may incur replacement fees.​

4. Hours of Operation

• Standard studio hours are 10:00am – 5:00pm Monday - Thursday and 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday - Sunday.

• After-hours bookings are defined as 5:00pm – 10:00pm, 7 days a week.

• After-hours hire is charged at a flat rate of $100 per hour (excluding GST), with a minimum of one hour, subject to availability.​​

5. Cleaning & Studio Condition

• The studio must be left clean and in the same condition it was provided.

• Composure Studio offers a professional cleaning service at $50 per hour.

• If this service is not pre-booked, the Hirer and their guests are responsible for cleaning the studio fully withintheir booking period.

• Confetti, smoke machines, and similar non-destructive items are permitted but must be fully cleaned before departure. A vacuum and broom are provided.

• Destructive items (e.g. fake blood, flares, paint) are strictly prohibited. If used, the booking may be ended immediately and repair / cleaning costs charged.

• All rubbish must be placed in bins provided. Large items or excess waste must be removed from the premises.​​​

6. Fire Safety & Open Flame Policy

• The use of candles and small open flames is permitted only when used safely, responsibly, and never left unattended.

• Flares, sparklers, fireworks, pyrotechnics, smoke devices, or similar items are strictly prohibited at all times.

• Composure Studio is fitted with fire safety equipment, including fire alarms throughout the studio. Please note the fire extinguisher, and a fire blanket, is located at the rear of the studio along the back wall.

• The Hirer is fully responsible for any fire-related damage, including but not limited to fire, smoke, or heat damage to the studio, contents, or surrounding property.

• If a fire alarm is activated or emergency services are called due to the Hirer’s actions, all associated costs, call-out fees, fines, and damages will be the responsibility of the Hirer.

• The Hirer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Studio Owner from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from the use of open flames.

• The Studio Owner reserves the right to immediately stop any unsafe activity or terminate the hire without refund if fire safety rules are breached.​​

7. Payments & Cancellations

• Full payment is required to confirm your booking.

• Any additional charges (e.g., overtime, cleaning, damages) will be invoiced separately and must be paid within 7 days.

• Cancellations within 48 hours of a booking: may be rescheduled once at no cost; otherwise a 50% cancellation fee applies.

• Cancellations within 24 hours of a booking: 100% cancellation fee applies.

• Non-compliance with these Terms may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.

• Composure Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to emergencies or events beyond our control. In such cases, fees paid will be refunded or the booking rescheduled at no additional cost.

• Any and all studio costs, including services, are quoted exclusive of GST.​​

8. Liability & Insurance

• Use of Composure Studio and its facilities is entirely at your own risk.

• Composure Studio, its owners, team, and representatives are not responsible for any injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or equipment, except where such loss or injury results from our own negligence and cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

• The Hirer accepts full responsibility for:

  • Their own actions; and

  • The safety and conduct of all guests, clients, staff, and contractors attending the Studio under their booking.

• By booking, the Hirer agrees to indemnify and hold Composure Studio harmless from and against all claims, actions, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) that may arise directly or indirectly from:

  • Their use of the Studio; or

  • Any breach of these Terms and Conditions.

• This indemnity does not apply to the extent that a claim arises from a negligent act or omission by Composure Studio or its representatives.

• The Hirer is responsible for arranging any insurance necessary, including:

  • Public liability insurance; and

  • Property or equipment insurance for themselves and any persons associated with their booking.​​

9. Animals in the Studio

• All animals must be approved in advance.

• Pets are permitted for photoshoots or medical reasons only.

• Any toilet accidents must be cleaned immediately to prevent damage or odour.

• Pet hair must be vacuumed prior to departure.

• Animals are not permitted on the sofa, white cushions, or white chairs.​​​

10. Talent & Image Use

• The Hirer is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary model releases, permissions, or licences for individuals being photographed or filmed.

• Composure Studio accepts no liability for any claims or disputes relating to image use.

• Composure Studio may request permission to use selected images of the studio from your session for promotional purposes (e.g., website, social media, print). Where granted, no payments or royalties will be made.​​​

11. Food & Alcohol Notification

• The Hirer must advise Composure Studio via the Booking Form if food and / or alcoholic beverages will be served during their session.

• This allows the studio to ensure safety, cleaning, and compliance measures are in place.​​

12. Events & Occupancy

• The Hirer is fully responsible for the conduct, safety, and actions of all guests before, during, and after the booking period.

• In line with Townsville Division Queensland Fire Department requirements, Composure Studio (Shop 2, 273 Charters Towers Road, Mysterton) has a strict maximum occupancy of 26 persons at any one time.

• If your event is expected to have a flow of attendees that would exceed this total across the day, the Hirer must implement a ticketing or scheduling system to ensure that no more than 26 persons are present in the studio at once.

• For fire safety, the Hirer must ensure all guests are aware of exits and evacuation procedures at the start of the booking.

• Surrounding businesses and residents occupy the building complex. Guests must remain respectful of neighbours, keeping noise and behaviour appropriate both inside and outside the studio.

• Alcohol is permitted on a BYO basis only, and consumption must remain moderate, responsible, and in compliance with Queensland law. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring no underage persons consume alcohol and that guests behave safely. Composure Studio does not supply or serve alcohol.​​

13. Updates to Terms

These Terms & Conditions are reviewed and updated regularly to ensure transparency and compliance.​​
